Larry Sparks will release an album of duets with country and bluegrass musicians on March 1 on Rebel Records. Guests include
Vince Gill, Andy Griggs, Tom T. Hall, the Isaacs, Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Rhonda Vincent
and the Whites, among others. Don Rigsby produced. Sparks won the male vocalist award at the 2004 IBMA awards. In related
news, James King will release a new album, The Bluegrass Storyteller, on Jan. 25. The album will include bluegrass
remakes "The Carroll County Accident" (a 1968 hit for Porter Wagoner) and "Saginaw, Michigan" (a No. 1 for Lefty Frizzell
in 1964). King's hits include "Thirty Years of Farming" and "Bed by the Window."
