Eddy Arnold, the original members of the Carter Family and Jerry Lee Lewis are among the musicians selected for the Lifetime
Achievement Award from the Recording Academy. The honors will be presented Feb. 12 in Los Angeles, the night before the Grammy
Awards. Other musicians to receive the honor are jazz artists Art Blakey and Jelly Roll Morton, conductor and composer Morton
Gould, rockers Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin, blues pianist Pinetop Perkins and the gospel-soul band, the Staple Singers.
