Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard will team up in March and early April for a brief tour of theaters. The shows begin March 7 with a three-night stand at Seattle's Paramount Theater. The tour will also include a stop in Oregon at the University of Portland, along with five nights at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles and five nights at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago. Dylan and his band will appear with Haggard and the latest edition of his band, the Strangers. Singer-songwriter Amos Lee will open the shows. A Philadelphia native, Lee toured in Europe with Norah Jones in 2004 and will release his debut album for Blue Note Records in March. Dylan and Willie Nelson did a tour of minor league baseball stadiums in 2004, but this marks the first time Dylan and Haggard have toured together.
