The Gospel Music Association has nominated Billy Ray Cyrus, Joe Nichols, Randy Travis and Wynonna for Dove Awards in its country-related
categories. Cyrus' "I Need You Now," Nichols' "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" and Wynonna's "Rescue Me" are among the nominees
for country recorded song of the year. Travis' Passing Through earned a nod for country album of the year. Other country
nominees include Mike Bowling, the Crabb Family, Jeff & Sheri Easter, the Isaacs and the Oak Ridge Boys. The Doves will be
presented April 13 in Nashville.
