Nashville studio musician Eddie Bayers has been named one of the 10 greatest session drummers of all time by Drum!
magazine. In the March issue, Bayers is the only Nashville-based player listed on the list that includes the late Stax Records
session mainstay Al Jackson Jr., West Coast powerhouse Hal Blaine and other legends, including Earl Palmer, Kenny Aronoff,
Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Jim Keltner, Matt
Chamberlain and Josh Freese. The feature story in Drum! points to
Bayers' accomplishments, including a 12-year string reign as the Academy of Country Music's drummer of the year and sessions
with Alan Jackson, George Strait, Reba McEntire, George Jones, Steve Winwood, Peter Frampton, Lyle Lovett, Uncle Kracker and
many others.
