Capitalizing on Big & Rich's double-platinum success, Big Kenny's 1999 solo album, Live a Little, will be issued
Tuesday (March 1) by Hollywood Records. Before he and partner John Rich released their first album as a duo for Warner Bros.
Records, Kenny Alphin signed to the Disney-owned label after gaining a strong local following in Nashville clubs. He and co-producer
Gary Burnette recorded and mixed Live a Little in two weeks. According to a 1999 article in the Nashville Scene
newspaper, Hollywood Records planned to market the album as "rock 'n' as it's supposed to be ... exuberant ... infectious
... optimistic."
