Pam Tillis kicked off the series of daytime performances at the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference's exhibit hall Thursday (March 17) in Austin, Texas. Backed by an acoustic band, Tillis sang music from her upcoming album, as well as "Heart Over Mind" and "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)." Tillis said, "I'm a little bit hoarse, but I bet we all are. There are a lot of cool people to talk to and a lot of loud guitars to yell over." New songs included "Now That Was a Heartache," co-written by Leslie Satcher and Bruce Robison. Tillis' official showcase took place Wednesday night (March 16) at Antone's with famed blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin, Rodney Crowell, Jessi Alexander and Jon Randall also on the bill.
