Van Zandt Film Closes Nashville Film Festival
A sold-out screening of Be Here to Love Me: A Film About Townes Van Zandt, which documented the entire span of the singer-songwriter's life, concluded the Nashville Film Festival on Thursday night (April 21). The film included interviews with Guy and Susanna Clark, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson. Van Zandt's family attended the screening, as did Dierks Bentley, Connie Smith and Marty Stuart. Director Margaret Brown expects a fall theatrical release for the film and a DVD release in 2006.
