Diamond Rio Raises $20,000 at Half Marathon
Diamond Rio used the Country Music Marathon and half marathon Saturday (April 30) in Nashville to raise $20,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. Two of the band members, lead vocalist Marty Roe and guitarist Jimmy Olander, raced in the half marathon with a team of volunteers, and their collective pledges will be given to the charity. Olander's time for the 13.1-mile race was 1:50:11; Roe finished at 2:05:54.
