Mindy McCready is free on $3,500 bond after being arrested for driving under the influence early Friday morning (May 6) in the Belle Meade area of Nashville. Police say she performed poorly on a field sobriety test after being stopped by police at around 3 a.m. Friday for speeding in a 40 mph zone. She was charged with DUI, failure to take a breath alcohol test and driving on a suspended license. The 29-year-old singer was already on three years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to a drug charge on Nov. 29, 2004. In that case, McCready had been arrested for presenting a fraudulent prescription for the painkiller OxyContin to a Nashville-area pharmacy. She obtained 90 of the pills but contended the drugs were not for her own use. McCready scored a No. 1 hit in 1996 with "Guys Do It All the Time."
