Bluegrass musicians Ralph Stanley and Blue Highway are among the artists who released new albums on Tuesday (June 7). The title track of Stanley's Shine On (Rebel) was written by Dolly Parton. Mark Knopfler wrote the title cut of Blue Highway's Marbletown (Rounder). Telluride Bluegrass Festival: 30 Years (Rounder), released separately on CD and DVD, collects live performances from artists like Hot Rize, Nickel Creek, Kasey Chambers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Sam Bush. Other new releases include the Clumsy Lovers' Smart Kid (Nettwerk), a reissue of the Country Gentlemen's 1976 album Joe's Last Train (Rebel) and Loretta Lynn's The Definitive Collection (MCA Nashville).
