Nickel Creek's new video, "When in Rome," has debuted on CMT.com and makes its TV premiere Thursday (July 28) on CMT. Directed by Dean Karr, it's the first video from Nickel Creek's new album, Why Should the Fire Die? A special video feature, The Making of 'When in Rome,' is also available for viewing at CMT.com. Karr has previously directed videos for Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Osbourne, the Dave Matthews Band and others. Nickel Creek's Chris Thile tells CMT.com, "We were particularly impressed by the tinge of surrealism that surrounds his work. It's fantasy oriented, but it's also like a dark fantasy. I thought it fit well with the song, which almost has a Celt-ish vibe to it." Why Should the Fire Die? will be released Aug. 9.
