Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Gretchen Wilson received two nominations each in the country category when the finalists for the
33rd annual American Music Awards were announced Tuesday (Sept. 20). Additionally, Sugarland were nominated in the all-genre
favorite new artist category in a field that includes the Killers and Jesse McCartney. In the country division, favorite male
artist nominations went to Keith, McGraw and Kenny Chesney, and favorite female nominations went to Wilson, Martina McBride
and LeAnn Rimes. Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn and Rascal Flatts are vying for favorite band, duo or group. Nominated
for favorite album are Keith's Honkytonk University, McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying and Wilson's Here
for the Party. The American Music Awards show will be telecast Nov. 22 on ABC from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
