Josh Turner, Diamond Rio members Brian Prout and Dana Williams and jazz saxophonist Kirk Whalum were in downtown Nashville
for Wednesday morning's (Sept. 21) announcement of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau's new branding initiative
to promote the city. Generating $3 billion in revenues annually, the hospitality industry is Nashville's second largest industry.
Among the campaign's highlights are the placement of signs throughout the city to assist visitors in finding attractions that
emphasize Nashville's musical heritage and other signs designating clubs and restaurants that present live music four or more
days a week. Additionally, the Convention & Visitor's Bureau will be working with XM Satellite Radio for a monthly program
featuring Nashville songwriters.
