Chicago Wind, Merle Haggard's new album with producer Jimmy Bowen, will be released on Oct. 25 by Capitol Nashville.
It's the first project in 10 years for Bowen, the former Nashville record producer and label executive who first worked with
Haggard on the 1979 album, Serving 190 Proof. In addition to an updated version of Haggard's own 1973 song, "White
Man Singing the Blues," Chicago Wind includes new originals and other songs written by Roger Miller and Willie Nelson.
Titles of the new songs include "Rebuild America" and "Where's All the Freedom." The album also features Haggard's duet with
Toby Keith on "Some of Us Fly."
