The Dixie Chicks are making available a digital download of "I Hope," a new song they co-wrote with Keb' Mo' and performed
Sept. 9 on the multi-network telethon, Shelter From the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast. The track was recorded
the night before the telethon with producer Rick Rubin and steel guitarist Robert Randolph. The backing musicians also included
guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench, who are members of Tom Petty's band, the Heartbreakers. The track is
available online at Sony Connect, Rhapsody, SonyMusicStore.com, iTunes, MSN and Napster. The Dixie Chicks and their record
label, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, will donate all of their proceeds from the sale of the downloads to Habitat for Humanity
and the American Federation of Musicians Gulf Coast Relief Fund in support of the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
