Highway 101 Singer Completes New Album
Former Highway 101 lead vocalist Paulette Carlson has completed her first solo album in nine years. The first single, "Thank
You Vets," will be shipped to radio in time for Veteran's Day on Nov. 11. She wrote it in honor of those who fought in the
Vietnam War as well as her late brother. "It was one of those songs that practically wrote itself," she said. "I felt it was
something that needed to be heard, and it inspired me to come back to music full time." Highway 101's hits include "The Bed
You Made for Me," "Whiskey, If You Were a Woman," "Somewhere Tonight" and "Cry, Cry, Cry."
