Keith Urban postponed his Thursday night (Oct. 6) concert in Evansville, Ind., and has been prescribed vocal rest after doctors
detected a hemorrhage in one of his vocal cords. "Keith basically has a bruise of his right vocal fold [cord]. I've prescribed
voice rest, which means no talking and no singing," otolaryngologist Stephen Mitchell told the Evansville Courier &
Press, adding that he'll re-evaluate Urban's condition next week. The Evansville show has been rescheduled for Feb. 1.
"I feel fine," Urban said in a written statement. "That is what is so frustrating about this situation." Urban, who was placed
on a similar rest after experiencing vocal cord problems in January 2003, is scheduled for a European tour starting next week.
