Neil Young will provide the keynote address at the 2006 South by Southwest Music conference taking place March 15-19 in Austin,
Texas. According to the Austin Chronicle, Young will be featured in a conversation with film director Jonathan Demme,
whose credits include the Talking Heads' concert film Stop Making Sense and the Oscar-winning The Silence of the
Lambs. In August, Demme filmed two nights of concerts at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium as Young introduced songs from his
latest album, Prairie Wind. The concert film is expected to be released in 2006. Other artists speaking at the SXSW
conference include Kris Kristofferson, Judy Collins and Billy Bragg.
