Miranda Lambert's debut album, Kerosene, has been certified gold by the RIAA, for shipments of 500,000 copies. The
album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart in March. Its singles include "Me and Charlie Talkin'" and the
title track. The native Texan toured with Keith Urban in 2005 and will open shows for George Strait in 2006. "I couldn't believe
it when I heard the news," Lambert said. "I've been so busy touring and working on my new album that I haven't been keeping
up with the numbers. Now that I got my Christmas wish, I'm going to work on setting my New Year's resolution -- to get a platinum
album in 2006."
