Dixie Chicks lead vocalist Natalie Maines has written and recorded a song with Yellowcard for the punk-rock band's upcoming
album. Maines and Yellowcard's Ryan Key trade vocals on "How I Go," a song recorded with a 25-piece orchestra and planned
for inclusion on the album, Lights and Sounds, set for release in late January. Maines and Key met at a Hollywood studio
where Yellowcard and the Dixie Chicks were recording. The Dixie Chicks have been working with producer Rick Rubin for their
album, the first since 2002's Home. No release date has been announced. Of the collaboration with Maines, Key tells
MTV.com, "I think it's kind of freaking out people a little bit. I've noticed that in a lot of the feedback, it seems like
some of the younger fans are like, 'Oh, I don't like that!' But a lot of our older fans seem to really be taking to it and
find it interesting."
