Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Jan. 25) in West Monroe, La., for Horace "Hoss" Smith, Tim McGraw's stepfather. Smith, 68, who died Sunday (Jan. 22) at his residence in West Monroe, married McGraw's mother, Betty Trimble, when McGraw was an infant. McGraw, the son of baseball great Tug McGraw, was known as Tim Smith when he was growing up in nearby Start, La. Smith and Trimble divorced when McGraw was 10. After learning of his stepfather's death, McGraw canceled an Oprah Winfrey Show taping that was scheduled for Tuesday in Chicago.
