Kenny Chesney racked up more than $5.5 million in box office sales Saturday (Feb. 11) when tickets to the first nine dates
of his upcoming The Road and the Radio tour went on sale. More than 86,000 tickets were sold in a single day, resulting in
immediate sellouts in several markets, including Grand Rapids, Mich., Jacksonville, Fla., Austin, Texas, Dayton, Ohio, and
Pensacola, Fla. Chesney warmed up for the tour this past weekend when his informal Keg in the Closet tour hit college-area
clubs in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Athens, Ga., and Knoxville, Tenn. The Road and the Radio tour kicks off March 23 in Dayton.
