Online voting is underway at CMT.com to determine the finalists for the 2006 CMT Music Awards, country music's only fan-voted awards show. Finalists in all but one category were announced Wednesday (Feb. 15). The first round of voting runs through March 9 and allows fans to select from the Top 8 nominees in each of the categories. On March 15, four finalists will be announced in all categories, except video of the year. Voting will then continue through April 7 to determine the winners. The final nominees for video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the awards show, and fans can vote during the live telecast to determine the big winner. Jeff Foxworthy will return to host the awards show scheduled for April 10 at the Curb Event Center at Belmont University in Nashville.
