The Del McCoury Band, Steve Earle, Allison Moorer and the Duhks are among those contributing tracks to an upcoming album paying
tribute to singer-songwriter Randy Newman. Set for May 9 release on Sugar Hill Records, Sail Away: The Songs of Randy Newman
was produced by Steve Fishell. Tracks include "Birmingham" (McCoury), "Rednecks" (Earle), "Marie" (Moorer) and "Political
Science" (the Duhks). Reckless Kelly and Joe Ely collaborate on "Rider in the Rain," and other participating artists include
Tim O'Brien, Sonny Landreth, Béla Fleck, Sam Bush, Guster, Marc Broussard and Kim Richey.
