A number of Texas musicians, including Texas Playboy alums Tommy Allsup and Leon Rausch, will honor songwriter Cindy Walker
in Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday (April 18). A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Walker died last month in her hometown
of Mexia. Her songs have been covered by Bob Wills, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Ernest Tubb, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard,
George Jones and Bing Crosby. The event will take place at Woody's Tavern. Tickets are $10 and proceeds will benefit the March
of Dimes.
