Thirteen years after releasing his debut album, Texas-based singer-songwriter Jack Ingram scored his first No. 1 on Billboard's country singles chart. "Wherever You Are" is also the first single to top the chart for Big Machine Records, a label formed eight months ago by veteran record promotion executive Scott Borchetta. Ingram will open a series of shows for Sheryl Crow during the month of June, but he will also be opening shows for Brooks & Dunn through the end of the year. The Brooks & Dunn tour kicks off Friday (May 12) in Charlotte, N.C.
