Diamond Rio Gear Up for Cars Premiere
Diamond Rio perform the national anthem Friday night (May 26) prior to the world premiere of the new Disney-Pixar animated
film, Cars, at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. A crowd of 30,000 is expected to attend the sold-out event
that marks the first multi-screen digital cinema premiere ever. The film will be shown on four custom-built outdoor movie
screens 115 feet wide and 50 feet tall. The film soundtrack features Rascal Flatts' cover version of Tom Cochrane's "Life
Is a Highway" and Brad Paisley's new track, "Find Yourself." The soundtrack also includes Hank Williams' "My Heart Would Know"
and other tracks by Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, James Taylor and others. Among those expected to attend the premiere are Paul
Newman, Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt and NASCAR's Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip.
