ABC to Air CMA Music Festival Special in July

A two-hour special featuring this year's CMA Music Festival will air on ABC on July 24. Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams Jr. and Wynonna are among the artists scheduled to appear on the show. The festival will take place June 8-11 in Nashville. Robert Deaton will serve as the executive producer of the CMA production. Gary Halvorson will direct. This is ABC's second year to film the event. As previously reported, the CMA Awards will also air on ABC for the first time in November.
