Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn was scheduled to undergo shoulder joint replacement surgery Thursday (June
8) after breaking her left shoulder Sunday (June 4) in a fall at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. The singer will recuperate
at home following the surgery at a Nashville hospital, according to her spokesman. As a result of her injury, Lynn canceled
nine shows in June and July, including appearances this week in Michigan and Ohio. Lynn plans to reschedule the concerts in
the near future.
