Charlie Daniels will be presented the Spirit of Americana Free Speech award at the Americana Honors and Awards ceremony on
Sept. 22 in Nashville. Daniels will also perform "Uneasy Rider" at the event at the Ryman Auditorium. The award is sponsored
by the First Amendment Center and the Americana Music Association. In addition, the family of songwriter Mickey Newbury will
accept the AMA's President's Award in his memory.
