Charlie Daniels was presented the Veterans of Foreign War's Hall of Fame award during the organization's 107th annual national
convention in Reno, Nev. Daniels was honored for his 35-year commitment to entertaining U.S. troops, including recent performances
in Korea, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq. Immediately after receiving the award on Aug. 28, Daniels donated his $5,000
honorarium to a Texas home for severely handicapped children.
