Dierks Bentley's first-ever charity motorcycle ride, Miles & Music for Kids, raised more than $100,000 for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, organizers announced Friday (Oct. 13). More than 2,700 bikers participated in the Oct. 8 ride which began near Franklin, Tenn., and concluded with a concert at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville. Among those participating in the fundraiser were Jeff Foxworthy, Montgomery Gentry, Eric Church, the Randy Rogers Band, Ray Scott and Trick Pony's Ira Dean. Bentley's new album, Long Road Alone, will be released Tuesday (Oct. 17). To promote the CD, he will travel to New York for appearances Monday on NBC's Today and Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Bentley also performs Wednesday on Imus in the Morning on MSNBC.
