Elvis Presley comes in second place on Forbes' list of dead celebrities this year, with earnings of $42 million for
the past 12 months. Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain tops the list with earnings of $50 million. Totals are based on licensing deals
of the celebrities' work or image for advertisements. Others on the list include Peanuts creator Charles Schulz ($35
million), John Lennon ($24 million) and Albert Einstein ($20 million), as well as Dr. Seuss, Ray Charles, Marilyn Monroe and
Bob Marley.
