The country band Heartland celebrated their No. 1 single, "I Loved Her First," at the ASCAP lobby in Nashville on Tuesday
afternoon (Nov. 21). The single reached No. 1 on Billboard's country airplay chart last month despite coming from a
new band on an independent label, Lofton Creek Records. The song was written by Walt Aldridge and Elliott Park. Aldridge also
produced the band's debut album, I Loved Her First. Park wrote the band's new single, "Built to Last."
