Sugar Hill Records is fully moving its operations to Nashville from Durham, N.C., where the roots label was founded in 1978.
At the time of the move, six employees worked in the Nashville office and eight were in Durham. In addition, producer-engineer
Gary Paczosa has been hired as head of A&R, a title most recently held by Steve Fishell. Artists who have released albums
on Sugar Hill Records through the years include Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Robert
Earl Keen, Sam Bush, Rodney Crowell, Scott Miller, Jerry Douglas, Nickel Creek and Dolly Parton.
