Joe Nichols is traveling to the Bahamas to sing at Anna Nicole Smith's funeral. The invitation was extended by Smith's attorney, Howard K. Stern. Nichols met the Texas-born Smith in 2005 when he was appearing on the Grand Ole Opry. Nichols was told that he was one of Smith's favorite singers. According to Entertainment Tonight, Nichols is expected to perform "I'll Wait for You," a track from his III album, and a country classic, "On the Wings of a Dove." Smith died Feb. 8 in a Florida hotel room. Some 300 invited guests are expected to attend Friday's (March 2) funeral in Nassau.
