San Francisco now has a contemporary country FM radio station, following the switch of a mixed-format station on Thursday
(March 1). KMAX-FM (95.7) is the only country station in San Francisco, which is the radio industry's third largest market.
The station, owned by Entercom Communications, will be branded as the Wolf. A station in Los Angeles switched to the country
format last week, which now leaves New York City as the only major market without a country radio station.
