Singer-songwriter John Prine and bluegrass pioneer Mac Wiseman will release an album of duets on April 24 on Prine's label,
Oh Boy Records. Standard Songs for Average People includes a mix of well-known and less familiar songs chosen by both
men. Selections include Lefty Frizzell's "Saginaw, Michigan," Tom T. Hall's "(Old Dogs-Children And) Watermelon Wine" and
Kris Kristofferson's "Just the Other Side of Nowhere." In addition, Prine's 1980 PBS concert, Live on Soundstage, will
be reissued by Shout! Factory on March 27.
