Montgomery Gentry and the Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform together in Nashville during an appearance by poet and novelist Maya Angelou. The choir from Nashville's Fisk University will perform several songs and also serve as a choir to back Montgomery Gentry. "When we learned she was coming to Nashville to speak, Troy and I immediately jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this amazing event," Eddie Montgomery said, adding that their collaboration with the Fisk Jubilee Singers will make it "a commemorative evening." The event will be held May 21 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
