Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been announced as performers at the Live Earth concert at Giants Stadium near New York City on July 7. The idea of former Vice President Al Gore, the all-day event will raise awareness about the negative effects of global warming. Other artists on the bill include Jon Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, AFI, Akon, Melissa Etheridge, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, the Police, Rihanna, K T Tunstall, Roger Waters and Kanye West. Additional concerts have been scheduled around the world, including shows in Shanghai, Sydney, Johannesburg, London, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Antarctica.
