McCoury Music, the independent label home of bluegrass singer and guitarist Del McCoury, has signed an exclusive distribution
agreement with RED Distribution, the independent distribution arm of Sony/BMG. RED will distribute McCoury Music releases,
the first of which is a new CD from bluegrass singer-guitarist Larry Sparks, set for release Tuesday (May 1). Future releases
include Merle Haggard's first bluegrass album, which was recorded in Nashville, and Moneyland, a compilation album
by bluegrass and country artists, including McCoury, Haggard and Emmylou Harris. The latter album is also being offered to
donors to presidential candidate John Edwards' campaign. McCoury formed McCoury Music in 2003.
