Brad Paisley and his band played a selection of past hits and previewed material from his upcoming album, 5th Gear, during a Wednesday (June 6) concert aimed primarily at members of his fan club. Taking place during the noon hour at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the show coincides with the CMA Music Festival which runs Thursday-Sunday (June 7-10) in downtown Nashville. Paisley was joined by special guests Little Jimmy Dickens (who regaled the crowd with a series of jokes) and Bill Anderson (who joined Paisley on a duet of "Too Country"). In giving the audience an advance audition of his new songs, Paisley joked, "I thought we'd let you hear it first and unedited -- before they tune the vocals." In thanking the crowd for its continued support, Paisley said, "There are fans, but there's that upper echelon of people who change your life -- and that's you guys." 5th Gear will be released on June 19.
