Gary Allan's Favorite Songwriters Play Fan Party
Gary Allan surrounded himself with three of his favorite songwriters at his fan club party at the Nashville Palace on Wednesday (June 6). Joined by Jim Lauderdale, Harley Allen and Odie Blackman, Allan kicked off the lunchtime performance with "Bourbon Borderline," which he wrote with Allen. With each performer taking his turn, Allan later sang "I'd Rather Be Lonely Without You" and a new song, "Try to Matter," which he has recorded for his new album that's slated for a fall release. Throughout his career, Allan has recorded several songs by these three songwriters, including "Tough Little Boys," "Tough All Over," "Nothin' On but the Radio," "Wake Up Screaming," "Learning to Live With Me," "What's on My Mind," "Forever and a Day," "I'm the One," "Baby I Will" and "I Just Got Back From Hell."
