Rodney Atkins pumped up his adoring fans during a Friday morning (June 8) appearance at his fan club party at the Belcourt
Theatre in Nashville. Atkins kicked off the party by performing songs from his album, If You're Going Through Hell.
When the time came to perform his No. 1 hit, "Watching You," Atkins, however, was not alone. His son Elijah, whom he wrote
the song about, joined his father on stage to sing along. As the country star replaced his guitar around his neck with Elijah
on his hip, fans rushed to the front of the stage to snap photos and sing along as well. Atkins then went on to sing "Cleaning
This Gun (Come On In Boy)" and two new songs that have not yet been recorded. Atkins and his band concluded the party that
was broadcast on XM Satellite radio with a rendition of his hit single, "If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even
Knows)." Atkins then met and took pictures with fans before heading to Minnesota for a concert. He'll be back in Nashville
Sunday night (June 10) to perform at the closing concert of the 2007 CMA Music Festival.
