Mindy McCready's legal troubles continued Wednesday (July 25) after authorities in Tennessee charged her with violating her probation. The 31-year-old singer was arrested by Williamson County deputies when she arrived on an afternoon flight at the Nashville International Airport. Williamson County is located south of Nashville and includes the communities of Brentwood and Franklin. McCready is serving a three-year probation after pleading guilty in 2004 to fraudulently obtaining OxyContin at a Brentwood pharmacy. Authorities say McCready violated the terms of her probation when she was arrested Saturday (July 14) in North Fort Myers, Fla., and charged with assault (for scratching her mother) and resisting arrest (for refusing to be handcuffed by deputies). McCready also allegedly violated her probation by not reporting the Florida arrest to her probation officer in Tennessee. If convicted of the probation charge, she could face a three-year prison sentence.
