Memphis-based musician, producer and engineer Jim Dickinson will be presented the Americana Music Association's lifetime achievement
award at this year's Americana Honors and Awards show taking place Nov. 1 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Ricky Skaggs
and Bruce Hornsby are among the first round of artists announced to appear at the awards ceremony. They released a collaborative
album in March. Others announced for the show include Joe Ely, Amy Levere and the Avett Brothers. Dickinson, a former member
of the Dixie Flyers, has worked with a wide range of artists, including the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Replacements, Ry
Cooder and Big Star. Jim Lauderdale will return to host the awards show, and Buddy Miller will continue his tenure as the
show's bandleader.
