Jewel and Jimmy Wayne have signed with the Valory Music Co., a new label announced Friday (Nov. 2) by Big Machine Records
president/CEO Scott Borchetta. An independent label based in Nashville, Big Machine's roster includes Taylor Swift, Trisha
Yearwood, Jack Ingram and Danielle Peck. Big Machine's promotion department is also working with Garth Brooks and his label,
Pearl Records, to secure radio airplay for new music featured on his upcoming album, The Ultimate Hits. Borchetta,
who will operate both Big Machine and Valory Music, plans to position Jewel as a country artist. Borchetta and Wayne previously
worked together at DreamWorks Nashville. In 2003, Wayne scored two Top 10 singles, "Stay Gone" and "I Love You This Much."
New artist Justin Moore will join Jewel and Wayne on the Valory Music roster.
