Brad Paisley, Tracy Lawrence and Jerry Douglas are among the early winners at the 41st annual CMA Awards taking place Wednesday (Nov. 7) in Nashville. Three categories were announced and awarded prior to the ABC-TV telecast. Paisley was not present when it was announced that his "Online" was named video of the year. Actor Jason Alexander, best known for his work on TV's Seinfeld, directed and makes a guest appearance in the video. The musical event honor went to Lawrence, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney for "Find Out Who Your Friends Are," a track from Lawrence's album, For the Love. Douglas, a Dobro player who enjoys a successful solo career in addition to his work with Alison Krauss & Union Station, was named musician of the year. In accepting the honor, Douglas joked, "I'm a musician so I'm not supposed to be able to speak."
