The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco and Jim Messina will be working together next year during the Party in the Dirt tour. The
Dirt Band and Poco are each celebrating their 40th anniversary as bands in 2008. Messina, a founding member of Buffalo Springfield
and Poco, has also enjoyed success with singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins in Loggins & Messina. Messina exited Poco in 1970
and was replaced by guitarist Paul Cotton. Poco's current lineup includes Cotton, multi-instrumentalist Rusty Young, bassist
Jack Sundrud and drummer George Lawrence. No tour dates have been announced.
